Welcome friends to the Mojave Gamers group – a group of board gamers in the Las Vegas and surrounding areas.
Over the last few years there have been a number of small board gaming groups in the Las Vegas area that have all functioned in isolation. This can be attributed to the fact that we didn't know each other existed and that we had no event in this area that would have brought us together. Fortunately, many of us have traveled to the large game conventions in LA, like Strategicon, and eventually found each other.
In those chance meetings we wondered why something like this doesn't happen in Vegas..... Well, that question is being answered by the formation of this group and the eventual announcement of a gaming event in the near future. Nothing to the degree of Strategicon, but at least a gaming event where those that love to play games can come together.
We are excited for the potential of this new group and what it will mean for board gaming in Vegas.
The interest in board games is broad - we have those that are hardcore war games, and also many that love all the types of euro games. I am sure you will find something that interests you - and we are always willing to teach the games we play.
